sent from above

Eyes slightly slanted, short fingers and toes,

a little round tummy and cute, button nose,

this baby, this child who others might say,

“So sorry this happened to you on this day,”

but our Father, our Maker, designed you with care,

every one of your features, each single hair.

“A reflection you’ll be of my endless love,

showing that you’ve come, straight from above.

Within you I’ve placed unique qualities and gifts,

many may not see and others might miss.

The world surely needs you, it wouldn’t be the same,

if all were made perfect, each one just the same.

I have plans not to harm you but for your own good.

More love you will show than most know they should,

arms ready to hug everyone so tight,

while others misuse their arms to fight.”

God’s intentions are simple, His message is clear,

each child he’s created, to his heart, he holds dear.

So remember these words when you’re tempted to feel,

that you are the one needing to heal,

God in his wisdom, has sent you from above,

knowing that you will teach us how to love.
