Five Ways To Be Involved with iamviable

 

1. Join The Discussion – Comment, Like, Share

The easiest way you can get involved with iamviable is to read the stories, add your comments, and then share the stories with your Facebook friends (or via e-mail).  Sharing the stories and your comments with your friends helps iamviable harness the viral power of Facebook to reach thousands of people with the message that each life is a unique and viable creation!

Become a Facebook Fan of iamviable to  keep up with the community discussion and be notified as new stories are released.  If you are already a fan – Invite your friends to join – by following the link to http://www.facebook.com/iamviable and selecting the Suggest To Friends option (top left corner).

2.  Share Your Story

We need your story!  Our goal is to have real-life stories of individuals representing as many disability “categories” as possible, i.e. Autism, Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida, ABS Syndrome, etc.  Imagine the powerful impact on an expectant mother who has just received an adverse prenatal diagnosis when she Google’s “Down Syndrome” and 100 iamviable stories of God's hope and inspiration about individuals touch by Down Syndrome come up! Do you have a story of how God has used your own disability to impact yourself or others? Do you have a family member or a friend with a disability who God has used to touch your heart in a profound way? You don't have to be a great writer (we will edit for you), so share your story today!

3. Project Waiting Room

We plan to offer business card holders, and business cards, to everyone that wants them so that you can deliver them to the waiting rooms of supportive Christian doctors and clinics in your local area.  We will ship the cards and card holders to you and you will be iamviable’s hands and feet and a compassionate voice for the delivery to your local doctor’s offices and clinics.  We have had a very positive reception in our local area and we hope you will as well.  We want to be a very positive voice and resource for the Christian practitioners around the country. We would also like to provide you with business cards if you are involved in an organization that serves those with disabilities or if you would just like a supply of cards to pass out to those you know and meet.  For cards visit the on-line store.

4. Wear a Statement – Tee shirts, bumper stickers, and fun!

Not only can you make a statement but you can wear one too.  We plan to have lots of fun with this to – by having you send in pictures of yourself doing things all over the world in your "i am viable" tee-shirts.

5. Financial & Prayer Support – Start-up Funds Needed!

We need your prayers and financial support to keep this site alive and growing.  This is especially true as we need to raise about $4,000  in start-up funds to support web-site operations and to provide the funds to get started on Project Waiting Room and the Tee shirts project.  Please consider making a donation to help iamviable move forward in 2011.  To donate you can use the Paypal link below or checks can be mailed to:  iamviable, 722 Via Colinas, Westlake Village, CA 91362.    Thank-you!

*** iamviable is a religious non-profit corporation registered in the state of California. iamviable is a 501(c)3 operating under the "normally less than $5,000 in annual gross receipts" filing exemption. Not withstanding this exemption, iamviable is also filing to receive a full determination letter from the IRS recognizing our exempt status, however, this process is still pending and can take up to six months.
